Petunjuk penggunaan directory

1. Kelompokkan file-file sejenis pada sebuah directory sendiri
2. Penamaan directory sebaiknya sependek mungkin, mudah di ingat.
3. Sebaiknya antara program dan data diletakkan pada directory terpisah
4. Penggunaan sub-directory jangan terlalu berlebihan

MEMBUAT SEBUAH DIRECTORY

¨ MKDIR/MD (Make Directory)

            Contoh :

B:\> MD PAPA (enter)

B:\> MD MAMA (enter)

            Untuk melihat directory yang telah dibuat

            Contoh :

            B:\> DIR (enter)

                        PAPA <DIR> 01-22-04  6:16P

                        MAMA <DIR> 01-22-04  6:06P

MENGAKTIFKAN DIRECTORY

¨ CHDIR/CD (Change Directory)

            Contoh :

            B:\> CD PAPA (enter)        

            B:\ PAPA>_

« Keluar dari Sebuah Directory ke Directory Utama

            Contoh :

            B:\ PAPA> CD\ (enter)

            B:\PAPA>CD.. (enter) àke directory

MENGHAPUS SEBUAH DIRECTORY

¨ RMDIR/RD (Remove Directory)

            Contoh :

            B:\> RD PAPA (enter)

MELIHAT POHON DIRECTORY (Perintah Eksternal)

¨ TREE

            Contoh :

            A:\> TREE B: (enter)

MENGHAPUS POHON DIRECTORY (Perintah Eksternal)

¨ DELTREE

Kalau suatu directory mempunyai suatu sub-directory, penghapusan directory menjadi sangat kompleks bila menggunakan perintah DEL. Untuk mempermudah penghapusan directory beserta sub-directorynya, DOS menyediakan perintah DELTREE

            Contoh :

            A:\> DELTREE BASICA (enter)

            Delete directory “Basica” and all its subdirectories? [y/n]

PERINTAH EKSTERNAL

¨ DISKCOPY

    Perintah untuk menyalin seluruh isi disket

            C:\> DISKCOPY (enter)

            Contoh :

1. C:\> DISKCOPY A: A: (enter)

Menyalin disket sumber dari drive A ke drive A

2. C:\> DISKCOPY B: A: (enter)

Menyalin disket sumber dari drive B ke drive A

¨ FORMAT

    Proses ini akan membentuk ruang penyimpanan data baru

    pada disket yang di format

            C:\> FORMAT (enter)

            Contoh :

            A:\> FORMAT B:/S/V (enter)

    Perintah untuk menyalin file dan directory

            Contoh :

¨ LABEL

    Perintah untuk memberi atau mengubah label di disk

            Contoh :
